  • Characteristics: Dried fish are created by drying their whole bodies with very gently flowing air, at a temperature of up to 45 °C for about 2 days. This preserves a large part of their nutritional value, i.e. vitamins, enzymes and other biological components.
  • Possibilities of use: Dried fish can be used either as a treat, a reward, or a supplement to the dog's ration. It is not quite a classic feed, but a raw material with an attractive taste. Therefore, do not use it instead of food to satiate the dog, but only to enrich the ration.

How to serve fish: Usually, dried fish are used as a treat or nutritional supplement in a dry state. We recommend to increase the taste and nutritional value of the fish with salmon oil, about 5% of the weight of the fish used. It is excellent to water the fish in advance, in stock for about 1-3 days and store in the refrigerator. They soak up the oil and are a really delicious treat! If there is no time, it is enough to pour salmon oil just before feeding.

  • Dosage: Dried fish equals four times the original weight of raw fish. Therefore, when feeding into the ration, calculate the amount from the original weight of raw meat. The feed ration of raw meat should be about 3 to 5% of the dog's weight per day.

The daily dose during training, as a reward, does not need to be limited if it is divided into a longer period of time. Use as many fish as necessary to reward the dog.

If the dog inadvertently gets to the dried fish alone and eats a large amount of them, nothing happens. It is a natural product that will not harm the dog's body even with a large, one-time intake.

  • Storage and shelf life: Store dried fish in well-closed PVC containers, mainly in a dry and cool place, preferably up to about 15 °C. If you get them wet and kept warm and sealed, they can get moldy. If this happens and your fish become moldy, throw them away and do not feed them to your dog.
